This Privacy Policy applies to the TribeSpring service and any other products, services, mobile applications, and websites offered by TribeSpring, Inc. This Privacy Policy applies to all information you may provide to us through the TribeSpring platform, website, or service (the “Service”).

The Service

TribeSpring is designed to help its users build stronger and more responsive professional networks. The Service will help you better manage and take advantage of networking opportunities and maintain and grow your personal and business contacts. The Service is designed to help you share information about yourself and your professional network and to communicate with other TribeSpring members. We believe that our Service and your successful use of our Service works best when you share appropriate information. However, we also understand users may have some questions about how we use and maintain their information and how they may protect and control their privacy. As described below and in the Service, we offer you a variety of tools so that you can choose how much and how broadly you want to share your information. We want our users to feel comfortable using and sharing information on our Service and hope to become part of your trusted professional network.

Information of Children

The Service is not intended for use by minors under the age of thirteen (13). We do not allow minors to register for the Service or disclose personal information to us. If we learn that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly take reasonable and appropriate actions to remove such user and delete any personal information from our servers.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide — When you register for the Service, we ask you for some basic personal information. This includes personally identifying information such as your name, payment account information (if applicable), email address, and mobile phone number. You may also link the Service to your social network accounts, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, etc. If you choose to link the Service to such accounts, we may import your profile data and other information from such accounts, including profile picture, contact information and the like. You may be prompted to choose which of your social network profiles you wish us to use. The profile and other information will be automatically loaded into your TribeSpring account. You will have the opportunity to review and confirm or change your account information as you wish. If you do not choose to link to one of your social network accounts, you will be prompted to provide certain other information such as your company, position, industry, personal introduction phrase, addresses, and other personal and business information. You may also upload a profile video. You may update or change your account or profile information through the Settings page at any time. We may combine the information you submit under your account with information from other users, services, or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services.

When you register for the Service using your mobile device, we may automatically interface and synchronize with other applications on your phones such as your email application and contacts. We will import your contacts into your TribeSpring account so that you can easily connect with your contacts through the Service. However, these are your contacts and no other user will be able to access or view your contact list unless you choose to provide access or an introduction. TribeSpring will not communicate or send any invitation to any of the persons on your contact list unless you choose to send any invitation to join TribeSpring, or make an introduction to the person.

If you provide any personal or contact information through the Service including to invite a contact to the Service, we will use the information provided only to contact and invite that person to join TribeSpring. The person will need to accept your connection and register as a member of the Service in order for you to make introductions to or for the person through the Service. By providing personal and contact information for someone, you represent that you have permission or authority to do so.

Cookies — When you use the Service, we may send one or more cookies to your device. We use cookies to improve the quality of our Service, including for storing user preferences, improving search results, and tracking user trends, such as how people search.

Automatically collected information; log information — When you access the Service via a browser, application, or other client our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, your interaction with a service, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account. When you download and use the Service using your smartphone or other mobile device, we collect information regarding device type, operating system, IP address, and device ID. We do not share your personal information such as your IP address or device ID with third parties.

User communications — When you send email or other communications to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. When you send and receive SMS messages to or from us, we may collect and maintain information associated with those messages, such as the phone number, the wireless carrier associated with the phone number, the content of the message, and the date and time of the transaction. We may use your email address to communicate with you about our services.

Location data — When you use the App on your smartphone, you can choose to allow us to collect and use certain location information from your mobile device or your mobile carrier. This information may reveal your actual location, such as GPS data. Based on your privacy settings, we may use your location data to provide information to you regarding other users of the Service in the vicinity or to notify other users of the Service of your location. For example, the Service displays a list of other TribeSpring members with profile pictures in near proximity so that you can make connections!

How We Use and Share Information

We use information you provide and information we automatically collect to administer the Service; to allow you and other users to use the Service; to make, accept, and manage contacts and introductions; and, if applicable, to process your payment for the Service. This includes monitoring and updating information from your mobile device applications, such as your email and contacts. This enables the Service to provide you relevant current reminders and information regarding your introductions and network. For example, prioritizing next actions in your network based on recent contact with people in your network. We will also analyze your information and use of the Service in order to allow you to track and monitor your introductions and get better results.

We will share your information as necessary within the Service and to users with whom you have made connections or otherwise so that you can manage and build your professional network. Please note that once you have accepted an introduction, we cannot control how the other user may use any information which you may provide and we hereby disclaim any liability associated with such use or disclosure. You can control how you want to share your profile and other information through the tools provided on the Settings page. When you initially register, your profile and other information will be set to our common default settings.  We encourage you to review these settings and choose the level of privacy and sharing you are comfortable with. If you make introductions or invite someone to join the TribeSpring Service, we will identify you to the persons being introduced or invited and they will have access to certain of your information.

We may also use your information to improve our services or to notify you of service, products, events, promotions, or other happenings which we believe may be of interest to you.

We will disclose information to our service providers that work on our behalf or with us to provide the Service. We do not permit these providers to use your information other than as necessary to provide the services to us. We may disclose your information if we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or other governmental or law enforcement request, (b) enforce our Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues, or (d) protect against or mitigate harm to the rights, property, or safety of TribeSpring, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.

If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected or other than as disclosed in this policy, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.

We may also use your non-personally identifiable information, including as aggregated with other users’ information, to analyze use of our service, including obtaining demographic information on our users generally. We may create or provide aggregated and statistical data about our users and use of the Service to third parties, including advertisers or other third parties for payment. We will not provide your personal information to such unaffiliated parties for marketing purposes without your consent.

Corporate Events

If TribeSpring becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, your information may be included in the assets sold or transferred to the acquirer. You hereby agree that we may transfer or assign the information we have collected from you in connection with any such event. In the event of a bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership or assignment for the benefit of creditors, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used[A1] .

Information Security

We will take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures. However, we cannot guarantee its absolute security or that unauthorized persons will not access or use your personal information for improper purposes. In the event of a breach of security affecting personal information on our servers, we will take such notification and other steps as may be required under applicable law. We ask that you do not send us or post any highly sensitive information on the Service, such as Social Security Numbers, Drivers License numbers and the like. We will not be liable for the use or disclosure of any such information if posted on your account.

Controlling, Accessing, and Updating Personal Information

When you use the Service, you may set your privacy setting to allow for sharing of your profile and other information in a variety of manners and to everyone or to select groups or tribes. You may update, change, or correct your personal information through the Service. You may also request that we deactivate your account or delete your data. We will use our reasonable efforts to deactive your account and delete your information from our publicly available service in a timely manner. We will also use reasonable efforts to delete data as requested if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. However, you acknowledge and agree that your contact and other information may have been shared through the Service and that we cannot delete this information that may have been provided to others through the Service or otherwise. You will be required to confirm your identity, through your password, before processing such requests.

We will update your account and information as requested, provided that we may decline to update information if we determine it to be impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes or other historical data). In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Further, because of the way we maintain the Service and information, after you delete the App from your phone and request that we delete your information from our publicly available Service, residual copies may take a period of time before they are deleted from our active servers and may remain in our backup systems indefinitely.

Third-Party Sites

This Privacy Policy applies to TribeSpring services only. We do not exercise control over any other sites that may be linked to or accessed through the service, the app, or our website. We have no responsibility for the privacy practices of other Web sites, including the Web sites of our business partners or the social networking site through which you may access any of our Services. You should review the policies of any third-party sites before providing personal information to these sites.

Location of Servers

TribeSpring processes personal information on our servers in the United States of America and in other countries. In some cases, we process personal information outside your own country.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on the Service and our website and, if the changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
